It's time for the Sunny Hills Science Fair, Thursday, March 1
Our PTA-sponsored Science Fair is a noncompetitive annual event that displays student science projects in the Sunny Hills gym. Science fair projects can take many forms, ranging from experiments utilizing the scientific method to nature collections. Individual students or small groups are invited to submit "self-explanatory" entries that they prepare at home. Students are not expected to present their projects during the fair. Projects should include a display board and may include other pieces. Projects may use electricity if reserved in advance. For security reasons, we cannot allow computers in the gym during the fair. Encourage your student to participate in this fun, educational event!
For Parents & Volunteers
The 2012 Science Fair Committee needs YOU! As always, this year’s Science Fair promises to be a fantastic way to showcase the science topics chosen by our talented students. We can’t pull this off without the help of volunteers. Have an older student looking for service hours? Sign them up to volunteer at the Science Fair! If you are interested in contributing to the success of this year’s fair by volunteering, please contact Michele Jensen.
For Book Lovers
Back by popular demand, the Usborne Book Fair is returning to the Sunny Hills Science Fair this year. You may purchase these great educational books at the Science Fair, or by ordering online before the event. Your purchase will benefit Sunny Hills staff and students; 50% of proceeds go to buying books for our school.
