"Diversity Means....."

Did your child enter the yearbook cover contest last year?

If so, he/she probably would enjoy entering an art piece in this year’s Reflections program, a nationwide art contest. All art entries will be featured at Young Authors Night in the spring, and the program will be featured in this year’s yearbook. For the past several years Sunny Hills has had 1-2 students’ entries advance beyond the Council or State level of the contest. Who will it be this year?

Students have the opportunity to use their creative talents and express themselves through their own original works. Focus your creativity on this year’s theme and note the deadline.

The 2011-12 Reflections theme is: "Diversity Means...."

The Sunny Hills entry deadline is: 3:30pm, Friday, Oct. 28, 2011

A student may submit up to three entries in any of six arts areas. Only original works of art are accepted. The six art areas are: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video and Choreography/Dance. Please refer to the specific rules and guideline links below as these must be followed.  Full program details can be found on WA State PTA Reflections page. To submit an entry, just click here for a Student Entry Form or pick one up in the Sunny Hills office. In the meantime, please contact Reflections chair, Crystal Benjamin for additional information.
