We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful community of parents, volunteers, and staff members here at Sunny Hills. When it came time to recognize and choose this year's PTA award winners the nominations were plenty and ranged from PTA presidents, to entire grade level teams of teachers, from bus drivers to the principal. Choosing one winner was out of the question. We had a combined total of 18 nominations. After reading descriptions like, one of a kind, eager to help, gracious, love of learning, and the best thing at Sunny Hills, the committee chose to award the following:
Outstanding Educator awards were given to kindergarten teacher Mrs. Melton and principal Mrs. Lederman. Golden Acorn Awards were given to Tracy Drake, Amy Gathright, Jaime Menold, and Alison Tobey.
