Sunny Hills has a long-standing tradition of supporting our community through donations to the Issaquah Food Bank in the Fall. Please join us in making this Thanksgiving a full one for those in need in our community! This year we will collect non-perishable donations in the classroom from Wednesday, November 1st through Wednesday, November 15th. Please have children bring their donations to school and place them in the food drive baskets in the entrance of the school.  The food bank is most in need of the following items: breakfast cereal, healthy soups, pasta sauce, flour, canned fruit, ramen noodles, canned tuna/chicken/fish, snacks for kids’ lunches, cooking oil, Boost/Ensure drinks, broth, sugar, nuts, evaporated milk, gluten free foods, baby wipes and diapers (size 4-6), toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, shaving supplies), laundry and dish soap, cleaning products, camping equipment and outdoor gear, lightly-used blankets, bedding and tarps.  Monetary donations are also welcomed, and will be used to purchase turkeys and other perishable items. Please make checks payable to Issaquah Food Bank. Place your check in an envelope and turn it into the office, or contact Kate Mueller to make other arrangements.
