Issaquah PTSA Council is excited to host Heidi Bennett, a very knowledgeable and dynamic speaker and education advocate, who will talk to us about education funding, a VERY important issue this legislative session. This is open to anyone interested, so feel free to share this with your communities. 
Show Us the Money – WA State Budgets” is a presentation that every parent needs to see to understand the McCleary Decision, the basic Education Bills and what’s up with education and funding. It includes “School Funding 101” so every parent can understand and advocate for improving education in WA State. 
Heidi Bennett, has been an education advocate for over 10 years working with PTA/PTSA, League of Education Voters, and School’s First (Seattle Levy Campaign).   Actively involved with WA State PTA and Region 6 PTAs (Seattle, Northshore and Shoreline), she has educated parents on a variety of education issues including simple majority, school levies, the Basic Education Bills and Funding. She is a regular down in Olympia advocating for education in Washington State as well as, at the Seattle Public Schools offices working on various task forces or committees.
