Kindness Week (2/10-2/14)

Hello Families,

Our annual kindness week is next week (2/10-2/14)! For those who are new to Sunny Hills, Kindness spirit week is a Sunny Hills tradition aimed at encouraging students to show kindness to others. Students will have the opportunity to complete daily kindness challenges and have some fun with spirit dress up days. We kick off kindness week with the Taproot Bully Prevention assembly Monday morning and end it with Valentine’s Day!

  • Kindness Wall – Blooming Flower

Students will have the opportunity to catch other kids being kind and write or draw what they witnessed on a paper “petal”. These will go on our kindness wall flower in the lunchroom and students will watch it bloom throughout the week. 

  • Optional Raffle Coloring Sheet Tracker - students will have the option to fill in this coloring sheet as they complete each daily kindness challenge. They can turn it in Friday afternoon for a chance to win a raffle prize! If you’d like to donate prizes to support this effort, please click here.
  • Encouraging kindness at home!
    • Complete your own kindness challenge at home! Download the Family Kindness Challenge Checklist from the “Great Kindness Challenge” Website - Family Edition.
    • Watch movies and read books that raise kind kids - with lessons about kindness, and empathy: Inspire Empathy & Inspire Kindness

STEM Fair

Are you ready to showcase your creativity, innovation, and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)?

The STEM Fair will be held on March 6, 2025 from 5:30-7:30pm and it will be your chance to shine! We're calling on all aspiring Scientists, Engineers, Mathematicians, and Tech enthusiasts to sign up for a project to share in a fun, low stress environment (students are NOT expected to stand at their project). Whether you're into robotics, coding, biology, physics, or any other STEM field, this is the perfect platform to share your ideas and discoveries with your peers and community. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to inspire others and demonstrate your talents. Sign up by March 3rd to be a part of something truly extraordinary and then join us at the STEM Fair on March 6th!
