Barnes & Noble Book Fair March 7th
Come help support our Library!! Barnes & Noble in Issaquah has partnered with Sunny Hills! They will be hosting a book fair Saturday March 7th 10-2PM where Sunny Hills families can purchase items and a portion of the proceeds will go towards books for our school! General Membership Meeting March 19th
Please join us at our third GMM of the school year on Thursday, March 19th in the Sunny Hills Library at 6:30. We will review the Year to Date and February financials, approve our January GM Meeting minutes and vote on the proposed slate of officers for the 2015-2016 school year. Update Your Spirit Wear
It’s that time of year again! Every Friday at Sunny Hills is “Spirit Friday,” so help your child show their Mustang pride by ordering Sunny Hills Spirit Wear. WSPTA Student Essay Contest – Male Role Model in My Life
The Washington State PTA (WSPTA) is once again offering the Men’s Essay Contest. WSPTA acknowledges the importance of men in children’s lives, and offers an annual essay contest for students to showcase the important men who make positive impacts in their lives. There are categories for K-12, plus a special author category for students who receive services, as defined by the ADA. Entry deadline is March 1, 2015. Find further details and entry form HERE.

Science Fair is March 5th! *New Time (5-7pm)
The Science Fair is next Thursday, March 5th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Please come by and see what our little scientists have been up to. If your child has registered for the fair, please drop off projects on Wednesday March 4th between 12:30 - 2:00pm. If necessary, projects can be dropped off between 5:00 - 6:00pm. Sunny Hills Student Assistance Program
From time to time, Sunny Hills families may need help fulfilling their basic needs. We now have a way to become more aware of those needs so that we may offer our assistance as a Sunny Hills community. Please select the "Sunny Hills Student Assistance Program" under the Community Outreach section HERE. Then, you may access a google doc that will be updated as needs arise. Yearbook Deadlines
It’s hard to believe but we’re coming upon our first deadline for this year’s yearbook. Love Notes, for 5th grade students, must be ordered by February 28th. Don’t delay and place your order for your yearbook today! Click HERE to order or for more information.

We are currently accepting photo submissions for the yearbook. Whether you have one photo or many, we’d love to consider it for publication! Simply submit your photo via Dropbox using as the address. Please add comments as to what event or class your photo is from.

Focus Day 2015 Recap
THANK YOU  to everyone who sent postcards and participated in  Focus Day 2015  in Olympia! We had a great showing from Sunny Hills and Issaquah PTSA Council!  We were definitely motivated to  stand up, speak up and show up . We packed into meeting rooms to meet with legislators and Governor Inslee, delivering individualized postcards from our members. Then parents, teachers and students from across Washington stood in solidarity on the Capitol steps in support of Funding McCleary and our other  legislative priorities .  Our legislators need to continue to hear from us this session about the importance of fully funding K-12 education. ... read full article
