Our PTA-sponsored Eager Reader Program starts January 9th and continues until February 12th. This is an optional 5-week reading program designed to encourage all students to read more outside of school by offering fun incentives along the way. Students are encouraged to enter their reading minutes on the website, parent volunteers will count the minutes each week, and students will be rewarded prizes every week (popcorn certificate, bookmark, finger light, free book, and a Red Robin dining certificate) according to the minutes entered. To encourage students to continue reading after earning their level 5 incentive, we will be holding a raffle. The more you read, the better your odds for winning gift cards and the grand prize of a Kindle E-Reader! Several classes are still in need of a parent volunteer to review weekly tallies and prepare prizes for distribution. If you would like to help with this important program, click here to sign up!
