Sunny Hills has a long-standing tradition of supporting our community through food donations to the Issaquah Food Bank at Thanksgiving. 

This year we will collect donations in the classroom from Monday, November 7 through Friday, November 18. Please join us in making this Thanksgiving a full one for those in need in our community!


How can you help?

  • Donate food in the classroom: Have your child bring their donation to school and place it in the baskets in their classroom.  Below is a list of Non-perishable food items to donate:

    Healthy snacks for kids lunches, baby formula, cooking oils, juice, flour, sugar, evaporated milk, cereal, pasta, raisins, dried fruit, canned peaches, dried pinto beans, green beans, pudding, diapers (size 4-6).   • Donate food at the Sock Hop: An additional collection will be made at the Sock Hop on Friday, November 18, 7-8:30 pm
  • Donate money to be used to purchase turkeys and other perishable items.  Please make checks payable to Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.  Place your check in an envelope and put it in the collection basket in the classroom or you can contact Stacy Jarvis dsjarvis@comcast.net to make other arrangements.
  • Volunteer to sort food or help with collection/transport at the Sock Hop. 

Food Sorting Party- As Many As Want To!

a.    Set Up- Set-up lunch tables and put donations on tables, time TBD, Monday, November 21st.

b.    Sort - Attend the food sorting party Monday, November 21st 2:00 in Multi-purpose room.We will sort the food donations and box in crates to transport to the IFB.  Contact Stacy, dsjarvis@comcast.net.
c.     Sock Hop- need volunteers to help collect donations on Friday November 18th at our Sock Hop from 7:00-8:30pm and transport over to Sunny Hills. Contact Stacy, dsjarvis@comcast.net.
