On behalf of the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, thank you for your donations to both the Food Drive and the Gift Drive!  The generosity of the Sunny Hills’ community never fails to amaze us.  The IFCB was incredibly appreciative of our school's willingness to give, as we delivered an abundance of food, gifts, money and gift cards for both drives.  We have truly captured the spirit of giving this season, and our donations will undoubtedly help make the holidays brighter for many families in our community.  Way to go, Sunny Hills’ families! ... read full article

Our PTA-sponsored Eager Reader Program starts January 9 th !  Eager Reader is an optional 5-week reading program designed to encourage all students to read more outside of school by offering fun incentives and prizes along the way. Please sign up to donate food for kids in the Issaquah School District who will need it during our upcoming mid-winter break.  We still need 240 more boxes for mid-winter “Lunch for the Break!” Your box donation will help bridge the gap during school break when kids aren't getting help from the free and reduced lunch program. Mark your calendars! Monday, 1/7, registration will open for then next After School Movie! The movie will be shown Wednesday, January 23 rd . Pre-registered students can stay after school for a fun movie and treat with your $10 donation. Students voted on Friday and while it was a close vote, the PTA will proudly present Small Foot ! The Yearbook cover contest is happening now!  We're asking students to submit a picture that we will use as the cover for our Sunny Hills Yearbook. It's easy to participate – simply draw your favorite picture of Sunny Hills and drop it off in the Yearbook Cover Contest box in the main office by November 30 th  to have your drawing considered. Washington State PTA legislative assembly meeting took place Oct 20 th and 21 st at Green River College in Auburn. Advocacy director Biwei Dong attended the meeting.  WSPTA advocates for every child, so that every child has a voice.
