There are MANY WAYS to "actively support" funding of critical PTA programs at Sunny Hills Elementary. Active fundraisers are those we plan and coordinate ourselves, and from which 100% of the funds go directly to the PTA.

Let's all go to the Movies! This is a new program for the 2011-12 school year based on feedback from the Spring PTA Survey. A $10 admission donation per student includes 2 peanut-free snacks and bottled water. Funds raised from this program will help the PTA provide classroom support and purchase “Just Right” books for each class at Sunny Hills.
Barnes & Noble hosts a book fair that benefits Sunny Hills both in our local B&N store and online. With online shopping as part of our book fair, you can reach out to family and friends literally anywhere and everywhere and ask them to support Sunny Hills. A percentage of net proceeds from the B&N book fair supports funding of new books and updated curriculum materials for the Sunny Hills library.
Gift Wrap/Cookie Dough/Online School Supplies
Our Fall Gift Wrap/Cookie Dough fundraiser raises over $10,000 each year! Based on your feedback from our Spring PTA Survey, we took your comments to heart regarding how much you value the Art Enrichment and Art Docent Programs. Help us "wrap up" funding for our Art Docent/Art Enrichment and other programs by supporting this first fundraiser of the school year!
Show your Mustang Pride by sporting the latest Mustang Spirit Wear and supporting PTA funded programs at the same time! Spirit Wear sales provide funding for the Science Fair, our Science Enrichment programs (Science To Go labs), and guest speaker/author visits in the classroom.
Popcorn Fridays
If you ask the students at Sunny Hills, they would say Popcorn Fridays are one of our most "POP"ular fundraisers! Each Friday kids can buy popcorn at 1st recess for a quarter. Funds raised from popcorn sales go toward funding community events such as Family Bingo Night and Sock Hop. So encourage your kids to "pop" on over to the PTA room to get some yummy popcorn!
The Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be out of this world this year! The Book Fair provides easy access to a wide assortment of books, gives kids a choice in what inspires them to read more, and demonstrates to kids that reading is important and FUN! Funds raised at the Book Fair help promote literacy at Sunny Hills and earn books for our library and the Eager Reader program.
Our BIGGEST Fundraiser of the year!
Held each June, the Walk-a-Thon helps raise money for critical programs supporting Literacy (BEL Reading), Math, Brain Pop.com, Scholarships, Teacher Enrichment Grants, Science (ESI), and the General PTA Fund.
