Staff Appreciation Week was a huge success and would not have been possible without the creativity and planning of 3 EXCEPTIONAL women:  Jennifer Murai, Becky Hall, and Kim Haines.  These amazing and talented women co-chaired the Staff Appreciation program all through the school year, providing monthly goodies, lunches, and/or gifts to the Sunny Hills staff.  During Staff Appreciation Week, they organized fun-filled activities, and also put together a thoughtful daily schedule for students to participate in showing their appreciation.  Their tireless dedication and enthusiasm have made for a FABULOUS year and Staff Appreciation Week.  Thank you, Kim, Becky, and Jennifer!!

Thank you to all the families who participated in Staff Appreciation last week! The staff loved the flowers, cards, notes, and treats. You really made them feel special!

The Staff Appreciation committee was also very busy last week and has a lot of people to thank for all their contributions.

On Monday, teacher’s doors were decorated. Thank you to all the room coordinators for coordinating those efforts, and thank you to all the parents who answered the call and made the door decorating happen. On Tuesday, staff members were treated to Starbucks coffee, Jamba Juice Smoothies, and baked goodies. On Wednesday, snacks were provided for the after-school staff meeting. On Thursday, each staff member received a homemade loaf of baked bread to take home. On Friday, the staff was treated to a spring salad lunch.

In addition, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the staff found special handmade gifts in their boxes that included a purse box with candy, custom note pads, and marble tile coasters. Monday-Thursday we hosted a trivia question in the staff lunchroom. A drawing for some prizes will be held for the teachers who answered correctly.

We are lucky to have such a great staff at Sunny Hills and we are blessed to have such wonderful families who stepped up and really showed their appreciation last week! The list of volunteers who helped make this week happen is quite long. Unfortunately we don’t have all the names of the parents who helped decorate doors, but please know that we send our gratitude. Thank you to Jenell Tamaela and Shelby Morton for volunteering to make posters for the specialists’ doors. A big thanks to the PTA executive committee for the sign in the office.
