If you are new to our school, district or country - first of all WELCOME! If you have questions we would love to connect with you, even if we don't know the answer we will definitely find you someone that does. Our school district has a team who's purpose is to help guide families navigate the school system. Our job as FACE in the PTA level is to help all the families feel they belong in our community, guide them in navigating our school and supporting the bridge with the district team whenever needed.

The Issaquah School District is now offering free lunches to all children 18 and under, regardless of income or enrollment in the Issaquah School District. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the free meal program through the end of the 2020-21 school year.
When: Mondays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick up breakfast and lunch for three days on Mondays and pick up breakfast and lunch for two days on Thursdays.
Where:
Each year Holiday Gift Barn serves children in the 16 zip code radius served by our food and clothing banks. We turn Pickering Barn into a huge department store where parents choose gifts and stocking stuffers for each of their children. We also have a wrapping station and child care so gifts can stay a surprise until Christmas morning.
To ensure everyone's safety while still brightening families' holiday season, is providing holiday shopping gift cards only this year. Participating families will receive an assigned gift card pick up day and time the week of November 30, Monday-Thursday from 10 am-3 pm. Pre-registration is required!
Cultural Bridges is a Issaquah Schools Foundation run program that helps build relationships between families from diverse cultures and languages, their children, the ISD, and the broader Issaquah community through outreach, events, mentoring, translation services and a magazine published in 7 languages. Need support? Reach out to one of the Family Partnership Liaisons. Liaisons can call and communicate with families using a language interpreter at no cost to the family.

To support families the ISD:
New families to the district are invited to attend Family Connections meeting to better understand and navigate the school system. Families are invited to ask questions about schools and the district. District employees will discuss programs and resources offered in the district. Spanish and Chinese interpreters are available at the meetings.

Sunny Hills PTA is looking for someone to fulfill the position of Family and Community Engagement Program Coordinator (FACE). This position aims to support and engage all families that might not feel currently represented!
